Aha! Builder early access opens today — you can still apply

by Brian de Haaff

The best part of the last couple months has been watching product managers realize that they are now product builders. They can go from customer insight to actual application without technical skills. I have personally met with more than 100 product leaders to show them Aha! Builder. It is our newest product: a way for product managers to create robust prototypes and business tools with AI — no coding required.

We were a bit overwhelmed when we announced Aha! Builder on Jan. 21. Hundreds of companies immediately expressed interest in joining the early access program (EAP). The conversations with them have allowed me to hear how people view the future of product development.

Early access to Aha! Builder officially opens today. We are inviting a select group of customers to start creating.

What I heard in nearly every conversation was a version of the same situation. People want a way to build sophisticated prototypes and trusted business applications. Most product managers know exactly which tools would make their organizations more effective. They had just stopped expecting them to get built for themselves or colleagues because technical resources are always stretched.

We created Aha! Builder to change that. It is designed for product managers who want to bring real structure to building — the antithesis of "vibe coding," where you prompt your way toward something and hope it holds together.

You start by defining your vision, goals, and the people who will use the tool. That foundation is what Elle (our AI assistant) uses to generate a working application.

It is a disciplined approach, grounded in strategy from the first step, that produces something your IT and security teams can review and approve for production. And because Aha! Builder connects directly with Aha! Roadmaps, the strategic thinking that already guides your product work applies here too.

Here is how you can quickly start building and how the workflow unfolds:

  • Start with strategy. Capture your vision, goals, and personas. This is the brief Elle builds from.

  • Design and generate. Set your design guidelines — colors, typography, and navigation patterns — and describe how the application should look and function. Elle produces a working application with user interfaces, business logic, and an underlying database built from what you described. You can update your design standards at any time and see those changes reflected.

  • Refine and iterate. Use the application, gather feedback, and improve it through conversations with Elle. Invite UX designers, subject matter experts, or technical colleagues to review and contribute as needed.

  • Deploy with confidence. Security reviews, authentication, and enterprise-grade hosting are built in. Your IT and security teams can review a detailed security summary before the application goes live.

  • Document and manage. Elle generates a user guide automatically so your team understands how to use the application from day one. All your applications are organized in one place — ownership, status, and usage visible across everything your team has built.

We are hosting the first public demo of Aha! Builder on March 12. See the full workflow and ask any questions. Sign up now.

If you recently applied or would still like to, we are continuing to evaluate applications and meet with people who asked to join the EAP. The key is that we are looking for folks who want to build a meaningful business application and are eager to share their feedback with us.

If you have not registered for the EAP yet, you can request access here.

Product managers have always been the people closest to the problems worth solving. They have a vision of the future and understand what users need. Now, they can build it themselves.

The person who sees the problem most clearly can now be the one who solves it.

This changes what it means to be a product manager in ways we are only beginning to see. The best building is still ahead.

Ready to see what is possible? Reserve your spot for the live demo.
